Joon Sup Lee, MD, MPH

Dr. Lee is responsible for the University of Pittsburgh Physicians and Community Medicine and its employed physicians and staff. His scope includes physician services, quality of care, patient experience, patient access and financial oversight of physician services. Dr. Lee also oversees physician informatics, pharmacy service line and the Health Services Division relationship to MyUPMC and the UPMC Call Center. He works closely with UPMC’s chief quality officer on Centers of Excellence and other important quality measures related to the care provided by UPMC physicians.

Dr. Lee received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in North Carolina. He completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiology at Massachusetts General in Boston. Dr. Lee’s research and clinical interests include the role of stem cells in the treatment of coronary artery disease, rapid treatment of cardiac emergencies and catheter based therapy for valvular heart disease including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR).
