Rick Joreitz, PT, DPT, SCS, ATC

Dr. Joreitz earned his BS Degree in Rehabilitation Sciences with a Concentration in Athletic Training in 2005 and his DPT in 2008 from the University of Pittsburgh. He received his Sports Specialty Certificate in 2011. For 12 years, Joreitz served as a Senior Physical Therapist for UPMC Centers for Rehab Services both at the UPMC Center for Sports Medicine and the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. He created an ACL Return to Sport Test, ACL Functional Screening Exam and Knee Evaluation Minimum Data Set. 

He provides physical therapy services to the University of Pittsburgh’s football, men’s and women’s basketball teams.  He teaches an Advanced Therapeutic Exercise elective, Kinesiology, within the Musculoskeletal series.  He also assists in the organization and teaching of post-professional educational offerings related to sports physical therapy that include continuing education, certificate, and residency programs.
