Newsweek Names Dana-Farber #3 in the World for Cancer

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has been named one of the world’s very best cancer hospitals by Newsweek in its new World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2022 rankings. Dana-Farber was ranked #3 globally, the only hospital in New England to be ranked in the top 15 for oncology.

In this edition of the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2022, the ranking identifies and honors the very best hospitals internationally that specialize in cardiology, endocrinology, and oncology.

“This distinction is especially gratifying as global medical professionals have recognized Dana-Farber as one of the world’s best oncology institutions,” said Laurie H. Glimcher, MD, president and CEO, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. “The excellent care provided by our clinicians and caregivers, and the leadership of our faculty and staff in advancing our understanding of cancer and developing new therapies for this devastating disease is especially worthy of this recognition.”

Newsweek partnered with global research firm Statista to rank the world's best specialized hospitals. The 2022 World's Best Specialized Hospitals is based on a global survey of medical professionals.
