Interventional Radiology at Johns Hopkins

Johns Hopkins interventional radiology division director Kelvin Hong explains how his team uses medical imaging exams such as MRI, CT and ultrasound to guide minimally invasive treatments and procedures to nearly every organ system in the body. Using the vascular system as a guide, interventional radiologists treat a variety of conditions such as cancer, uterine fibroids, infertility, chronic pain, DVT and vascular malformations including AVM. Interventional radiologists also perform venous access procedures such as central catheters, chest ports and feeding tubes.
