Robotic-assisted gynecologic/oncologic surgery: experience of early cases in a Saudi Arabian tertiary care facility

Surgery has long been regarded as a controlled injury to achieve subsequent clinical outcomes in the patient’s favor. For the management of patients with gynecologic and/or oncologic complications, the last few decades have wit- nessed an exponential growth in medical technology—and one of the results of these advanced technologies is the application of minimally invasive robotics to surgery.
