About the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program | Cedars-Sinai Academic Medicine

The Cedars-Sinai subspecialty fellowship program in interventional cardiology (IC) has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) since 2003 to provide one additional year of training after graduation from a three-year cardiology training program. Successful completion of an interventional cardiology fellowship is a prerequisite for board certification in interventional cardiology.

Since the program's inception in 2003, 18 individuals have completed IC training at Cedars-Sinai. The goal is to provide advanced training and supervised experience at a sufficient level for fellows to acquire the competency of a specialist in interventional cardiology.
