Kidney Stones for the Internist

In this Urology Grand Rounds, Michelle Jo Semins, MD, presents the epidemiology of kidney stones, identifies acute stone episodes and identifies management strategies.

  • Recall the epidemiology of kidney stones
  • Identify the acute stone episode and implement management strategies 
  • Recognize obstructive pyelonephritis and recall management techniques
  • Explain follow-up for patients and describe strategies to prevent kidney stones
