Radiosurgery Symposium

The Miami Brain Symposium will focus on state-of-the-art approaches to the management of primary and metastatic central nervous systems tumors, along with an understanding of current standards of care and a look at future directions. This symposium will engage participants as the expert faculty navigate through complex cases, novel treatment strategies, and panel discussions.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this conference, participants should be better able to:

  • Examine the role of novel bench-to-bedside investigations for treating glioblastoma by targeted androgen receptors and exploring glutaminase inhibitors.
  • Recognize the advancements of implementing tumor treating fields for patients with brain metastasis.
  • Evaluate novel systemic therapeutics for gliomas with preclinical and early clinical data, such as CAR T-cell therapies and other vaccine options.
  • Understand the role of systemic therapies and craniospinal irradiation in treating leptomeningeal disease.
  • Recognize the roles of surveillance, surgery, and stereotactic radiosurgery for patients with benign tumors, such as vestibular schwannomas and meningiomas.
