Miami Cancer Institute to Present Advances in Breast Cancer Research at 2023 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium

Miami Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health South Florida, announced that its researchers will present several posters at this year’s San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS), hosted December 5-9 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The presentations will highlight research into breast cancer in special populations, new approaches to metastatic disease, and studies of other novel treatment regimens for breast cancer patients.

“The San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium is one of the most important annual meetings for breast oncologists. I am pleased with the quality and promise of our presentations at this year’s symposium,” said Reshma L. Mahtani, DO, chief of breast medical oncology at Miami Cancer Institute. “My colleagues and I will share exciting findings in San Antonio, including studies that evaluated the benefit of breast cancer treatments in geriatric patients and a quality improvement initiative geared towards individualizing management strategies for HER2+ metastatic breast cancer, among others.”

Miami Cancer Institute researchers led the following research to be presented at SABCS 2023:
