Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute Appoints Dr. Nish Patel to Director of Structural Heart Disease

 

Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute announces the appointment of Nish Patel, M.D. as the new director of structural heart disease.  Dr. Patel succeeds Ramon Quesada, M.D., who is appointed to the position of director of interventional & structural cardiac innovations and research.

Dr. Patel is an interventional cardiologist specializing in catheter-based therapies for valvular heart disease, structural heart, and coronary artery disease.  Prior to his time with Baptist Health Dr. Patel served as director of the structural heart program at St. Peters Health Partners in Albany, NY.  He completed both an interventional cardiology, and structural heart disease fellowship at the Mount Sinai Hospital and Ichan School of Medicine in New York City.

Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute structural heart program was previously led by Dr. Quesada, who has nearly 30 years of experience as an interventional cardiologist.  He specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of cardiovascular diseases as well as congenital and structural heart conditions through catheter-based procedures including angioplasty, stenting, and transcatheter valve repairs and replacements.  Under his leadership, the institute has diagnosed and treated a wide array of cardiac disorders.  Dr. Quesada will continue to be at the forefront of the institute involving catheter-based techniques as the first director of interventional & structural cardiac innovations and researchfor Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute.
