This presentation is a case based, practical approach to evaluation and treatment of female sexual dysfunction. The prevalence of female sexual dysfunction is 8-10 percent of females experience a distressing sexual condition. Part of the challenge in treating female sexual dysfunction is understanding what is normal for women. Dr. Mistry discusses the approach to evaluation and treatment, the elements of sexual history, the physical exam including specialized testing and the barriers to treatment. He presents multiple case studies including sexual preservation with other treatment as breast cancer. Dr. Mistry discusses how important it is to have a multidisciplinary referral group in managing female sexual dysfunction.
